Designed Nutritional Products was established in Orem, Utah in 1992 — and became the original commercial source for Indole-3-Carbinol (I3C) and a founding pioneer in the commercial development of DIM and Ascorbigen, before most of the industry knew what dietary indoles were. More than thirty years later, we’re still here, still independent, and still focused entirely on being the most knowledgeable and reliable bulk ingredient supplier in the business.
Built on expertise, sustained by relationships
Designed Nutritional Products was established in Orem, Utah in 1992, at a time when dietary indoles weren’t yet on the supplement industry’s radar. We put them there.
We became the original commercial source for Indole-3-Carbinol (I3C) and were among the earliest commercial pioneers in bringing Diindolylmethane (DIM) and Ascorbigen to the supplement market — years before they became category staples. At the same time, we were building the only domestic U.S. source for Germanium Sesquioxide, a position we still hold today.
At the height of the Melatonin market, Designed Nutritional was the largest producer in the world. We’ve watched this industry grow and change for more than three decades, and through all of it we’ve stayed true to the same core belief: that the best thing we can offer our customers isn’t just a high-quality ingredient — it’s the knowledge and support to use it well.
We’re a small, focused team operating from our Orem, Utah facility. We’re not trying to be everything to everyone. We know our ingredients deeply, we stand behind every batch we ship, and we treat every customer relationship as a long-term partnership, not a transaction.

David Parish became President of Designed Nutritional Products in 1999 and acquired the company in 2001. Under his leadership, the company has focused on bringing specialty dietary ingredients to the nutritional supplement industry before they were widely known. Over three decades, he has built the company into the recognized leader in dietary indoles and a trusted source for specialty bulk ingredients used by brands across the United States and internationally.
